4. How much should i feed my pet?
Each Pioneer Perfection diet has a feeding guide on the back of the package. These guidelines are a starting point, based on your pet’s age and weight, and may need to be adjusted based on their individual needs, health, and body condition.
Key Feeding Tips
Adjust for Growth: For growing pets, especially large and giant breed dogs, follow your veterinarian’s recommendations for weigh-ins. You may need to frequently adjust their food intake as their energy needs change.
Measure Accurately: It’s best to divide the total daily amount into two equal meals. Use a digital kitchen scale or a proper Pioneer Perfection measuring cup for consistency, as even small variations can significantly impact a pet’s calorie intake, especially for cats and small dogs.
Puppies and Kittens: These young pets benefit from smaller, more frequent meals. Please refer to the feeding guide on the packaging for the recommended frequency.

5. What is mix feeding about and why mixed feed?
Mixed feeding is the practice of combining both dry and wet food to provide your pet with a nutritionally complete and balanced meal. This approach offers several benefits:
Weight Management: Wet food contains fewer calories per gram than dry food. This helps your pet feel full and satisfied while consuming less energy, which is ideal for overweight or obese pets.
Increased Palatability: The combination of different textures can make meals more appealing, especially for picky dogs, cats, or senior pets.
Improved Hydration: Wet food increases your pet’s overall water intake. This is particularly beneficial for small dogs and cats, as it can help promote urinary tract health by diluting urine and increasing urination frequency.
6. What is the correct proportion between wet and dry food?
A general rule of thumb for mixed feeding is to provide a meal with 1/3 wet food and 2/3 dry food, based on caloric content. The exact ratio can be adjusted depending on your pet’s specific health needs, your personal habits, and your pet’s preferences.
Both Pioneer Perfection dry and wet products are nutritionally complete and balanced on their own. However, when mixed, they offer enhanced benefits:
For cats, we recommend one pouch of wet food per day in addition to the corresponding amount of dry kibble (please refer to the feeding guide for details).
For dogs, please follow the instructions on the feeding guide, which can be found on the product packaging and our product page.

7. What is the body weight range for each size range ( Dog )

Raw materials are tested within an hour of delivery, and every factory holds key ISO certifications, including ISO 22000, 9001, and 14001. We also conduct annual traceability audits to ensure full accountability.
2. Feeding past the best-before date?
It’s not recommended to eat older food, as it may have reduced freshness and palatability.
3. Reading the Best Before Date format:
Format is DAY-MONTH-YEAR (e.g., “21/8/25” means 21 August 2025)
Storage
1. Storage tips (opened products):
Dry diets: best within one month; up to two months if sealed well and stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
Wet food: refrigerate opened cans or pouches and use within 48–72 hours. Serve at room temperature; discard any left out for more than 20–30 minutes.
2. Using plastic storage containers?
Keep food in the original bag, then store it within a good airtight plastic or steel container—this minimizes taste transfer.
3. Freezing wet food:
Freezing is possible without affecting nutritional value, but it can alter texture, appearance, and palatability. Thawed food should not be refrozen
