2. Which product should I choose? How do I choose the right product?+
The right product depends on your pet's species, breed size, age, and activity level. Our Spotty and Spotty Plus ranges are formulated for different life stages and needs. If you're unsure, reach out to us and we'll help match your pet to the most suitable formula.
3. What are the health benefits of each product?+
Each formula is built around functional ingredients — high-quality protein for strong muscles, prebiotics for digestion, Omega 3 & 6 for skin and coat, and added vitamins and minerals for overall vitality and immune support.
4. How much should I feed my pet?+
Daily feeding amounts depend on your pet's body weight and activity. Each pack carries a feeding guide table; as a starting point, follow the recommended grams per day for your pet's weight and adjust based on body condition.
5. What is mix feeding about and why mixed feed?+
Mixed feeding combines dry and wet food. It offers the dental and convenience benefits of dry food together with the hydration and palatability of wet food, keeping meals interesting for picky eaters.
6. What is the correct proportion between wet and dry food?+
When mixing, reduce each portion proportionally so the combined calories still match your pet's daily requirement. A common approach is to replace a portion of the daily dry amount with the calorie-equivalent of wet food rather than adding on top of it.
7. What is the body weight range for each size range (Dog)?+
Toy/Small: up to 10 kg • Medium: 10–25 kg • Large: 25–40 kg • Giant: above 40 kg. Use these ranges alongside the feeding chart to determine the correct daily portion.
Quality and Food Safety
1. Food safety assurance+
Pioneer Perfection guarantees top-tier quality through rigorous checks at every stage of production. Raw materials are tested within an hour of delivery, and every factory holds key ISO certifications, including ISO 22000, 9001, and 14001. We also conduct annual traceability audits to ensure full accountability.
2. Feeding past the best-before date?+
We do not recommend feeding products past the best-before date. After that point, the nutritional quality and palatability can decline, and freshness can no longer be guaranteed.
3. Reading the Best Before Date format:+
The best-before date is printed as DD/MM/YYYY on the packaging. Always check this before serving and store products as directed to maintain freshness up to that date.
Storage
1. Storage tips (opened products):+
- Dry diets: best within one month; up to two months if sealed well and stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
- Wet food: refrigerate opened cans or pouches and use within 48–72 hours. Serve at room temperature; discard any left out for more than 20–30 minutes.
2. Using plastic storage containers?+
You can use a clean, airtight plastic or stainless-steel container. For best freshness, keep the food in its original bag and place the whole bag inside the container — the bag liner helps preserve the fats and aromas.
3. Freezing wet food:+
Unopened wet food doesn't need freezing. Opened portions can be frozen in airtight containers; thaw in the refrigerator and use promptly. Avoid refreezing once thawed.
